![]() The Bedouin, Part 3 Songs and Poetry Bedouin people have a deep love for poetry which has been passed down through tradition. Historically the poets had an important position in the tribes. Poetry has been a way to recount history and tradition, and the poetry is usually sung, and often accompanied by instruments. Al Taghrooda, Al Razfa, and Al Bar'ah are all forms of Omani Bedouin performing arts protected as UNESCO World Heritage items. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD. (Psalm 40:3) Lord, we ask You to equip Bedouin believers to use their style of poetry to develop local worship and praise to Jesus.
